Seminar on Malaria Prevention and Control for Belt and Road Countries was successfully opened.

On October 19, the Seminar on MalariaPrevention and Control for Belt and Road Countries was officially opened. Theopening ceremony was presided over by Deputy Director Cao Jun. Director YangHaitao delivered a speech. Zhao Yuhong, Deputy Director of the Department ofCommerce of Jiangsu Province attended the opening ceremony.



The seminar is the third online international training course hostedby our institute this year. Twenty-three officials from six countries, namelyCameroon, Ghana, Zambia, Azerbaijan, Sri Lanka and Mongolia, attended thetraining course. Most of the trainees are from the national Ministry of Healthengaged in malaria prevention and management work. They will conduct 14 days ofonline learning and exchanges.

The seminar will invite experts from theWorld Health Organization and Fudan University to give lectures. The traineeswill systematically learn Chinese malaria prevention and control experience,malaria elimination strategy, mosquito monitoring and prevention and controltechnology, public health system construction and international cooperation ondiseases. In addition, "cloud visit" and "cloud culture"exhibition courses were also set up. The trainees learned malaria microscopicexamination technology, morphological identification of Anopheles vector andmalaria vector resistance monitoring technology online through the network, andexperienced Chinese traditional culture and intangible cultural heritage.
