The "Training Course for Officials of Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control in Francophone African countries" was successfully launched

On June 6, the Seminar on Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Officials of Francophone African countries, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by Jiangsu Institute of Schistosomiasis Prevention and Control, officially opened. There were 25 participants from four countries: Senegal, Burkina Faso, Republic of Congo and Democratic Republic of Congo.



Mr. Yamaiogo, head of the Quality Department of the National Blood Transfusion Center of Burkina Faso and a biomedical expert, delivered a speech as a representative of the participants. He hopes that through the study of this workshop, we can develop more effective prevention strategies for African countries, promote continuous innovation in scientific research, and promote the high-quality development of community health education.

The 14-day workshop was conducted online and invited experts from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Fudan University and Jiangsu Provincial Institute of Schistosomiasis Prevention and Control. The main content of the course includes AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, schistosomiasis, monkeypox virus and other infectious disease prevention and control technology and experience. This workshop is the third phase of the foreign aid human resources training project undertaken by the Provincial Institute of Blood Prevention and Control, which aims to share China's experience in the prevention and control of infectious diseases and comprehensive management, and provide an exchange platform for international cooperation, improve the ability of African countries to prevent and control infectious diseases, strengthen talent reserves and scientific research capacity building.
