Online international training once again opened in the cloud

On August 18, the international training program "Training Course on Prevention and Control Technology of New and Recurrent Infectious Diseases" hosted by the Provincial Institute of Hematology and Immunology officially opened. Wang Qi, section chief of Science and Technology Department, presided over the opening ceremony, and Cao Jun, director, delivered a speech.Zhao Yuhong, director of the Foreign Economic Department of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, attended the opening ceremony.This class is the second online international training course hosted by the Provincial Institute of Hematology and Immunology this year. A total of 39 officials from Egypt, Bahamas, Sierra Leone and Kenya participated in the training. Most of the students are from the Ministry of Health of their respective countries, engaged in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases and management. They will study and communicate online for 21 days. This training course invited many experts from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Fudan University and the Provincial Institute of Hematology and Immunology to teach the students about the diagnosis, treatment and vector control strategies and methods of infectious diseases such as AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and schistosomiasis, as well as the prevention and treatment experience of new infectious diseases such as COVID-19 and monkeypox.At the same time, the training course also arranged a technical demonstration course, so that the students can more intuitively learn the specimen making, vector identification, sensitivity testing and other technical methods of arbovirus-borne infectious diseases.
